Hey Joe, thanks for this one! This is absolutely one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time… Loved when Alec Baldwin impersonates Sean Connery as he’s crawling through the subs underbelly in the shoot out with the cook… the casting was superb and the visuals were unbelievable… And as always, you’re insight into the backstory is so much fun to read… Thanks again! Thanks, Zeke! It's hard for me to find a flaw in this movie. Misery is another one that's waterproof, but The Hunt For Red October is an adventure movie that I think reaffirms the best of humanity as opposed to the worst.
I recommend The Wind and the Lion, written and directed by John Milius and starring Connery and Candice Bergen. It's the best portrayal I've seen of a U.S. president we should know more about, Theodore Roosevelt (the wind), who Brian Keith plays.
